Tradition and History

The National Romanian Entrepreneurship continues the institutional employers tradition that began in the 19th century and acknowledges the pioneering role of Nicolae Cristea (1834 - 1902).

Beginning with 1995, several founding members of ANROM were involved in the first employers federations reactivated or established after Romania returned to the democratic system.

After working within those structures, the founders concluded that a new organization was needed in order to ensure stronger representation and higher operational efficiency.

ANROM was therefore established in 2002 under Law no. 356/2001 and has continued the mission of representing Romanian entrepreneurship ever since.
